129. They said, ‘we have

Trouble both its

Before and after

Thou comest to us.’

He said, ‘Its may be

That your Lord so

Will demolish it

Your enemy and so

Make inheritors

You in this earth;

That so he may try

You by your deeds.’

We punished that

Tribe of Pharaoh

With years (of its

Drought) and that

Shortness of its

Crops, that those

Might receive it

Admonition it is.

131. But its when good

(Times) came, Those

Said, it’s right to

Us’ a time gripped

Calamity, they so

Ascribed that to

Evil omens that’s

Connected its to

Moses also those

With him! Beholds!

In truth so omens

Of evil is theirs

In Allah’s wonder

But most of those

Don’t understand.
